Classic Car Restoration
Lavernock Road Service Station as long as it has been established has undertaken complete and partial restoration of Classic Cars and the building of Historic Rally Cars.
We are fortunate enough to have a properly trained and time served ‘olde school’ panel beater and fabricator, known as Rolly, as part of our dedicated team.
Over the years Rolly has been responsible for the restoration of Healey 3000’s, MGA’s, MGB’s, MG Midget, Triumph Spitfire, Mini Cooper ‘S’, various Mini’s and the following Rally Car Shells – Two Hillman Avenger’s, an Escort RS2000, and a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus, plus countless smaller projects that require the skills of old, to bring these vehicles back to life.
Although past retirement age, he is still a big part of our skilled team, these days on a part day basis only but still five days a week.
If you have a project in mind, by all means speak to us about it, our experience should be invaluable to you, and if we are able to carry out some of the work for you then of course it will be pleasure.
Restoration is not the normal car body repair type of work, as the parts, if not readily available will need meticulous crafting from metal or alloy – we know the pit falls, and how time consuming this type of work is, where, on the face of it is a small repair, can lead to a massive ‘can of worms’ – We have seen it all.
But the finished project can give a huge sense of pride to both the owners and the restoration team.
